He, along with his parents and five siblings, appeared on the reality television show ‘Run's House’ that ran from 2005 to 2009. A former member of the hip-hop collective All City Chess Club, Simmons has also contributed to a number of singles, both as a lead and a featured artist. In 2010, he launched his own line of urban sneakers under the name ‘Chivalrous Culture’. The singer, who has been inspired by many well known artists like Jay Z, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Wu-Tang Clan and A Tribe Called Quest, released his debut studio album ‘Unexpected Arrival’ in 2012. The album received generally positive reviews from the critics.
